Day 2 (8/28-8/29)

AP LANG

We are starting to get things rolling along in our AP class. Today, we started on discussion questions (handed out in class) and there was not enough time in class to finish so, scholars were instructed to take the questions and complete the rest of them at home. Scholars turned in their annotated article from the previous night's homework. Scholars also took their "In Cold Blood" books to assist with answering the discussion questions. Scholars are to bring those books back to class on Friday so that I can have them for grading summer assignments.
  • Graded Summer Reading Assignments: AP Scholars can expect to receive their graded summer reading assignments around September 9-10.
  • Per Unit Plan...First Practice Exam: Friday, August 30 (A-Day) Tuesday, September 3 (B-Day) NO WORRIES!!! TRUST ME IT WILL BE OKAY.
  • "The Ways We Lie" article was collected.
  • Late Arrivals: For those students recently added to AP Language and Composition, your Summer Reading Assignment is due on October 21, 2019.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school and everything went smoothly. ENG I was assigned a reflection letter for homework and AP Lang was assigned their first article to read and annotate which is due the next time we meet. The link to the article is below.

The basic first day of school stuff happened. We went over policies and procedures, routines, and the syllabus. This is just the first day so I expect that there will be plenty of questions as we go along.
