UNIT 1 TEST RECAP
We briefly went over the exam. This gave scholars the opportunity to address any concerns or questions they may have had.

BASICS OF THE THESIS

  • Most important sentence in your essay.
  • Your thesis is a one-sentence summary of your essay.
  • Has a topic and a claim. The claim shows the reader how you feel about the topic.
  • Includes specifics about the points/areas you will use to explain you claim.
SAMPLE TIMED WRITING
Scholars were given 25 minutes to try their hand at starting a timed writing.

HOMEWORK
  1. Complete the Logical Fallacies notes in your notebook.
  2. Read and annotate "The Introduction" of The Crucible.  If you have the black cover, the introduction is in there. If you have any other version, you will need to go to the Google Classroom to read it. Be prepared to discuss by Friday, Oct. 18 (A-Day) and Monday, Oct. 21 (B-day).
