  • Warm-Up: In Google Class, complete the reading response for Welty.
  • Work on Outlines and Essays
    • OUTLINES ARE DUE FOR BOTH CLASSES BY 11:59 PM ON THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27.
    • ALL ESSAYS FOR BOTH A & B DAY ARE DUE IN THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM BY 11:59 PM ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO LATE ESSAYS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • Unit One ICB Assessment on Thursday October 3 and Friday October 4.
    • If you are absent, you will need to make an appointment with me and make this assessment up PRIOR TO  Friday, October 11.
  • HOMEWORK:
    • Keep working on outlines and start essays. 
    • Secure your copy of "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller by Monday, October 7.
  • Summer Reading Extension Students: your book, questions, outline, and essay are all due by 9 AM October 25. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED as this extension is 2 months from the original due date. NO EXCEPTIONS.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR UPCOMING MAJOR ASSIGNMENT:

Outlines have all received some form of feedback. There is a rubric attached to the outline assignment tab. The final essay assignment now has a rubric attached to that as well. I will be available during lunch if you still have questions about your outlines. I will not be offering any additional feedback on the outlines outside of what has already been offered. When you submit or resubmit your outline by 11:59 PM on this Friday, September 27, I will grade it using the rubric. There will not be any resubmissions for this outline. ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1 AFTER SCHOOL (4:15-5:30), I WILL BE AVAILABLE TO OFFER  FEEDBACK ON YOUR ESSAYS PRIOR TO SUBMISSION. I WILL NOT GRADE YOUR ESSAY IN FRONT OF YOU DURING THIS SESSION. I WILL OFFER FEEDBACK, SUGGESTIONS, AND REMINDERS. THIS IS ALSO A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO KNOCK OUT THE FINAL PIECES OF YOUR ESSAY WITH MINIMAL DISTRACTIONS.
